Keith Douglas specialises in Party Wall matters.

Keith Douglas has over 45 years experience in dealing with the administration of party wall legislation and in the resolution of boundary disputes without recourse to the Courts.

We seek to give unbiased, accurate and current advice at economic cost.

The Practice

The Practice was founded in 1968 to provide building surveying and architectural services to commercial and industrial clients.

In 1970 the Practice expanded to become multi-disciplinary. Twenty years later the Practice focused on:-

neighbourly matters, acquisition and merger surveys of commercial, industrial and retail property and the law and practice of Dilapidations.

From 1997 the Practice specialised in Party Wall matters.

The Principal

Keith Douglas, FRICS. MCIArb., is a Chartered Building Surveyor specialising in Party Wall matters and boundary disputes.

  • promotes best practice in the administration of The Party Wall etc Act 1996,
  • is a founder member of the Thames Valley Group of Party Wall Surveyors, now the Thames Valley Branch of the nationwide Pyramus and Thisbe Club ( P&T),
  • P&T Thames Valley Branch Chairman 1997 - 2019,
  • is the Past Chairman of the P&T National Club,
  • is the former Editor of the Club's Journal, co-author of 'Introduction to the Act' and 'Benchmark' and an active Co-Editor of the panel drafting and publishing the P&T Guidance Note series,
  • is one of the Surveyors included on the H M Government List of Third Surveyors,
  • until the Summer of 2010 represented the P&T Thames Valley Branch on the National Council since its foundation,
  • regularly gives talks on party wall topics.
